I just started photography as a hobby this year and I fell in love with it instantly. I was handed a camera back in January and I haven’t stopped shooting since.  It was the best gift I have ever been given! Photography really makes you look at everything around you in a new light. I now view everything as a possible photo-op.

Here are a few pictures I took at the beach back in March. The beach was freezing, especially with the wind coming off of the water. That being said, it’s the perfect time of year to go since no one was around. It was really calm and I tried to reflect that in the pictures I took. I’m really happy with the way these turned out. There’s no place better than the ocean!

I’d love to see your photographs as well. Leave me a comment to share!

I went to the Brimfield Flea Market this afternoon. This Flea Market is HUGE and has everything you can possibly imagine. Of course, I sought out every girly, shabby chic item I could find. I didn’t walk away with anything because everything I fell in love with was way over my price range. I did get some great inspiration and plan on starting a few projects soon. It’s so easy to achieve the same look with some of these pieces with a little work and a lot of looking around for a good deal.

Here are some pictures I took throughout the day. I didn’t bring my SLR camera so these were taken with my camera phone. I also added some vintage effects in Photoshop later on.

Loved the look of the dresses hanging by the picket fence. Definitely caught my eye and I suddenly wished I had my other camera with me.

I had to take a picture of this Ball jar because I just found these in a thrift store for $2.00 the other day and here’s the same jar for $50! I guess I got a good deal?!
